Gamers are certainly no stranger to the game franchise Assassin's Creed. Almost every year, as the developer, Ubisoft continues to release its newest series. This is of course thanks to the interesting gameplay and the Open-World world which presents a number of historical locations in detail.
However, the success of Assassin's Creed would not have been achieved without the figure of Jade Raymond who is the co-creator of the Assassin's Creed series. Now he is reportedly working with Sony in developing a new game exclusive to the PlayStation console.
On the PlayStation Blog, Raymond announces Haven Studios, the newest independent studio under the auspices of Sony. He also announced that the studio is currently developing a new game title that is exclusive to the PlayStation console. The game will be developed directly by a number of developers who have worked with Raymond for many years.
Currently, of course, game development is still in its early stages, so there is not much information that can be shared. Haven Studios official website also hasn't displayed anything other than a company email address. So, it is possible that this latest game will not be released in the near future.
Raymond himself is the lead creator of the game Assassin's Creed (2007). Its success has also spread to a number of other Ubisoft games such as the Watch Dogs series and Splinter Cell. Later, Raymond left Ubisoft and joined EA Games to found Motive Studio, before joining Google in 2019 in developing a new game for Stadia. Raymond finally resigned from Google in February and is now working with Sony to develop new games with Haven Studios.
The formation of Haven Studios is likely to be Sony's step in competing with the Xbox console, which a few days ago formalized its partnership with Bethesda to develop exclusive games for Xbox and PC. Given the quality of the lineup of exclusive games from Sony coupled with the popularity of Jade Raymond's Assassin's Creed, we can be sure that the newest game is worth looking forward to for PlayStation console users.
